用語としては全て大文字でCOVID-19とするのが「正しい」表記とされているようだが、文字列としての読みやすさを優先する場合はCovid-19の表記もとられると思われる。報道機関ごとにスタイルガイドがあるはず。

発音は「コウヴィッド・ナインティーン」。確認はWHOのテドロス氏の会見で（下記の11秒から12秒）。


アルファベットの文字列ではなくひとつの単語として発話されるので、COVID-19のような表記をとらず、Covid-19のように単語扱いをするのがより自然なのだと思われる。
